Souls of Sisters (Chapter 7: The Quiet Peace Like Curtains)
The man her mother trusted. The man who smiled too wide and stared too long. The man who whispered threats like lullabies after her mother fell asleep.
It started with small things. A brush against her arm. A hand that lingered too long on her lower back. The way he’d corner her in the hallway. The way she never felt safe closing her eyes.
She tried to tell her mother once. Just once.
But her mother looked at her like she was the one who ruined the house. The one who invit

It’s Okay, Young Man, to Not Be Athletic
Maybe your gifts are in art, music, leadership, tech, design, writing, building, teaching, or problem-solving. Maybe you’re the one who helps your siblings with homework, who listens well, who leads with peace instead of pride. That’s strength, too.
There is no one way to be a man. There is no one mold to fit.

Trauma and Healing
Trauma doesn’t just affect us emotionally; it impacts the mind, body, and spirit in deeply connected ways. Souls of Sisters (Chapter 6: The Weight of One Word)
“I’m not saying what happened was okay. Nothing about that was okay. But I believe God can redeem anything—even this. Even something this dark.”

“I don’t know,” Breniya whispered.

When Rage Lives Quiet
It doesn’t yell. It waits. Buried beneath politeness, behind the verses I quote but haven’t fully lived. It simmers, deep in the places I don’t let anyone touch not even me. Wounds I’ve covered with scriptures instead of surrender. Pain I’ve stuffed down in the name of "being strong." They see peace on my face. But inside, I am pacing. Shouting. Breaking. I carry a war I never asked to fight, and some days I think I’m losing. God, where are You in this fire? Because I don’t w

Souls of Sisters – (Chapter 5: Before the Cut)
But that night… everything split.
They’d been fighting loudly, ugly, the kind of argument that had built up for weeks.
Nea had been in the kitchen, shouting at her, her voice breaking with frustration, with rage Alexis had never seen before.
And then…
Nea grabbed the knife.
A kitchen knife.
The air went still.
Alexis had frozen in place, staring at her sister like she didn’t even recognize her anymore.
Nea wasn’t thinking. Acting on emotion, adrenaline, and anger.
She swung
