About
This course invites students to examine contemporary issues through the lens of Scripture, applying timeless biblical truths to modern challenges. Using case studies, current events, and guided discussions, students will analyze topics such as free speech, truth, justice, political violence, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Grounded in a biblical worldview, the class emphasizes the sanctity of life, the power of words, the responsibility of leadership, and the call to love even in times of conflict. Students will engage in critical thinking, debate, and written reflection while exploring how Christians are called to respond to division with truth, compassion, and hope. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to: Interpret cultural and political issues in light of biblical principles. Recognize the risks and responsibilities of speech and influence. Apply Scripture to personal decision-making and civic engagement. Develop Christ-centered responses that promote peace, justice, and reconciliation.
